Residents Across the City of Englewood Join Lawsuit to Save Their Homes From Overdevelopment

Join Englewood One Community in our united fight against the overdevelopment threatening our city! Residents, as Co-Plaintiffs, are standing together in a landmark Complaint filed against the City Council in the Superior Court of New Jersey to halt the development of large apartment buildings immediately next to our homes and schools.

The unchecked population surge from the development of thousands of new apartment units could reach 10,000 new residents, jeopardizing our quality of life and straining our schools, services, and infrastructure.

Despite community outcry, the City Council doubled down on its development plan, hiring more lawyers at taxpayers' expense. Former Mayor Frank Huttle III says, "We can't count on politics as usual in Englewood to stand up for us. We have turned to the courts.

The lawsuit is filed for an impartial and fair decision by the Court to ensure each of our rights is protected to save Englewood from an ill-conceived City Council Plan that will have generational impacts for decades to come."

We need your support to overturn this damaging law and preserve Englewood's identity. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps defend our neighborhoods.
